I was relocated from the South to Seattle a few years ago by one of the usual suspect large companies, and have been adjusting to life in the NW ever since.
I'm looking for a friend/lover with whom to share adventures.
I always have a number of "bucket lists" going, and you'd of course be welcome to join:
- Fall, coastal island get-a-way
- scary corn maze (or is it "maize"?)
- pumpkin carving contest
I love to spend my time capturing the essence of whatever place I'm in. Back home (S. Carolina) it would be shuck'n oysters and drink'n beer by a bonfire. Here maybe it's farmer's markets, ferry rides to outlying lands, and finding the best local bourbon for cocktails.
As to you, maybe the perfect combination of man and boy; you've probably got your shit together, but not so much that your sense of responsibility gets in the way of your sense of adventure.
And of course I'd have to like your smell, but that sort of goes without saying doesn't it (even though I just said it)!
What is something that people are surprised to find out about you? I've never been a professional mime.
Where do you like to hang out? I never feel more comfortable or more at home than by the water (normally I'd say "in" the water, but come on, it's a bit cold here).
What kind of person are you attracted to? You have a sharp sense of humor, enough life experience to have emotional depth, and you genuinely like something (anything) and aren't afraid to geek out over it. Tops on my list of sexiest qualities in a guy, and frankly any people I'm interested in: considerate, hard working, smart & funny & kind, intellectually stimulating, driven, spontaneous, and adventurous. It just kills me when someone does something thoughtful and considerate for me.
What's something you want to do but haven't? When I try to comprehend the vastness of the universe and time I'm genuinely, emotionally, moved. And when I travel I feel like I'm connecting more deeply with the entirety of human experience, and I want lots more of that.
If I could change one thing about Seattle, it would be: I wish people would more readily connect with each other - talk at the grocery store, smile at each other on the sidewalk, suggest hanging out and then actually hang out!
One thing about Seattle I would never change is: How the summer changes everyone, for the better.
If I could only eat one type of food for the rest of my life, it would be: Probably cheese, but not just your run of the mill block of Tillamook cheddar. We're talking smelly, stinky, gooey, ash-laden, triple this and that, and all hues of blue.
I consider myself an open-minded person, but my deal breakers are heavy drug use and utilikilts (sorry sensitive, pony-tail guy)
Something I learned from the last person I dated is where to get the best cassoulet in town.
Design your ideal mate: the brain of Seth Meyers and the body of Ryan Gosling (no pressure)!
My picture(s) reveal that I am a stone cold fox.
My idea of a great date is great food, easy conversation, with a little bit of spontaneity.
When stuck in gridlock I , well, it probably starts with some cuss'n, and then I'll probably turn up the radio, and sing along (to anything - oldies, rap, pop, whatever's on).
My guiltiest pleasure is trashy celebrity gossip magazines.
The quickest way to my heart is to do something thoughtful (and I'm a sucker for sweet notes). The quickest way to my bed is to make me laugh and say something unabashedly flirty And in the morning, I like my eggs cooked over easy with bacon, sir.
The last show I saw was La Fille du Regiment!
Great sex calls for lots of eye contact, dirty talk and hair pulling.
It's Sunday morning at 10 a.m. If I'm not still sleeping, I'm at brunch or the farmer's market.
One sport I will never get is any sports. I don't care about them at all, unless of course you do, and then I'll feign interest until you really get to know me.
For delicious results, add one part witty banter and mix it with one part magnetic attraction
